Course Overview
This course provides an in-depth look at the Elevation Certificate (EC) along with relevant resources to answer your questions. This is a four-lesson series for surveyors on how to accurately and thoroughly complete the EC, which helps agents determine the proper flood insurance premium rate. Properly completed EC's also aid local floodplain administrators in determining how high to elevate buildings located in the Special Flood Hazard Area to reduce flood risk.
