Course Overview

This series of modules serves as a refresher training course for students already proficient in radiological response. The refresher course takes approximately 6 to 8 hours to complete.

As the use of radioactive materials increases in agriculture, industry, and medicine, the need for safe transportation and emergency response also grows. First responders must be prepared to handle incidents involving radioactive materials efficiently and safely.

By understanding radiological hazards and related terminology, responders can quickly recognize threats, respond effectively, and relay accurate information during emergencies.
